I just had my friend’s rambling about her situation. Here is what she emailed me this morning:
“Last Friday was a disaster, made these yummy biscuits and ate 6. Next day ate another 4. Now today just ate Tang square. Now I have broken the diet, I cannot seem to be strong. Part of the problem is my hormones. It feels like I am due for my monthly, but I am still 2 weeks away from it. Something horrid is going on in my body hormonal wise. Last month I was great! This month I have had lots of pain, cravings, sore breasts from day 10, and now a weak will to go with it.
It made me realize how well I was doing symptom wise, when I started eating sugar again. My itching is unbearable, worse than ever, and I suddenly realized that my anal itching had gone completely. Now it is all back with a vengeance, and I am feeling sorry for myself.
I need to pray for will power and the long haul!!
One thing I have noticed is my appetite. I have gone from not wanting to eat much, to being hungry all the time. This is another slight problem. I run out of food to eat. LOL…… “
Maria – we all slip up from time to time. Maybe, in a perverse sort of a way, it’s a good thing, because it’s shown you the consequences of cheating by bringing your symptoms back so fast! it’s easy to think ‘a little bit won’t hurt…’, but now you’ve proved to yourself that a little CAN hurt, and you’ll remember it next time you get tempted. Plus it’s showed you how well you’ve been doing, as you said yourself, so take heart from that!!
Sorry you’re having such a rotten time with your hormones. Mine were all over the place at first on the diet, but all my menstrual problems seem to have cleared right up recently, and I hope yours will too, once your get on top of things.
