This is a detailed vaginal yeast infection treatment you may want to practice. You can take an OB Tampon and try to soak it, or you can use a tampax tampon (they are harder and more compacted). Take it out of the tube and soak it. Insert it slowly and make sure to do it at a time when you can just relax for a while (weekend or week night). You only need to keep it in as long as you are comfortable gradually keeping it in longer as you get used to it. Just don’t leave it in longer than 8-10 hours.
You will probably need to squeeze out some of the liquid to make it smaller, but leave as much as possible in it (remember something the size of a melon comes out of there, so be sure of yourself) If you are really having trouble inserting it, squeeze it firmly in the palm of your hand to make it a lot smaller. Just douche if you really are freaked out by it, but the tampons let the oil soak into the tissue better.
Also, don’t worry about the “cleanliness” of this task. I can tell you stuff you don’t want to know. As a candida affected woman, you should also consider using non-bleached tampons. The bleaching process leaves chemicals in the fiber, which will add to your problems regulating the pH in your vagina. Look online for natural tampons or non-bleached tampons as there are several good lines of products. This will also lead you to natural other paper products (like toilet paper, paper towels, etc) that do not have trace chemicals which can effect your immune system.
Men are also very affected by vaginal yeast because they may be very susceptible to yeast on or in their genitalia if they are already fighting candida or immune problems. Husbands or sexual partners of women with these problems are at risk to, but it of course is treatable!
